Rémy Wyler is Professor of Employment/Labor Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lausanne, where he has taught Employment/Labor law from 1997 to 2026. On behalf of the Swiss Bar Association (SBA), he is director of the SBA specialist training program for attorneys in employment law in French-speaking part of Switzerland since its inception in 2008. He is a practising attorney and assists companies, employers, public authorities, and individuals on all matters relating to private and public employment/labor law, as well as social insurances. Focused on finding practical solutions, he draws on his experience, skills, and expertise in the following areas related to employment/labor law: private law, public law, administrative law, restructuring, business transfers, collective redundancies, collective labor agreements, collective law, platform work, drafting contracts and regulations, negotiation, bar practice, legal proceedings and more.

In addition, Mr. Rémy Wyler acts as an SBA mediator, providing neutral, independent, and impartial support to parties in their search for amicable and lasting solutions to their disputes, in a process that ensures strict confidentiality.

He also practices arbitration and gives numerous lectures. His work as a practitioner and teacher complement each other and enable him to keep abreast of the latest developments in law. After obtaining his Ph.D. (1988) and his bar qualification (1989), Rémy Wyler joined CBWM Avocats as a partner in 1991. In 2008, he obtained the SBA specialist certification in employment law. In 2025, he obtained the SBA mediator certification. He regularly publishes and edits books and articles on labor law, as well as on conflict prevention and resolution. After spending a year in Africa with Médecins sans Frontières/ Doctors Without Borders (1990) and serving on its Board of Directors, Rémy Wyler has shown a personal interest in civil society, particularly within the Payot Foundation Council for the promotion of reading in French-speaking Switzerland. He was also a former member of the Vaud Bar Association Committee and sat on the Cantonal Chamber of Trainee Lawyers.
